I got a letter in the mail saying i would make 14.25 an hour. And it turns out they're just trying to take advantage of me. Has this happened to anyone else?

They dont take advantage of you… its hard work. I know, i worked there. Yes, they make you buy the ‘knife set’ to show potential customers their cutting power, but thats the only time you will have to pay money.
Basically you need to know alot of people/have sales experience. You need to put on ’showings’ of these knives and convince people to use them.
I did not have to purchase the knife set cause my brother did it and i just borrowed his. I didnt like the idea of going to peoples houses to sell them knives so i quit, and i use the knives from the set myself and they are amazing.
You DO get paid $14.25/ ‘an hour’
You get $14.25 PER PERSON YOU SHOW THE KNIVES. When i did it it took about 10 mins to go through the whole routine…So basically they expect you to show the knives to one person an hour .
Stop complaining, its a good paying job if you WORK
